Following is the brief description of the important projects implemented in the district:

DMS(Dak Monitoring System)

Dak Monitoring System is web based workflow solution for management of dak at Deputy Commissioner office. It is taking care of registration of Receipts (i.e. dak coming to DC Office) and Dispatches (i.e. dak going out of DC office). This software is ensuring branches take action on dak in timely manner. This software is handling queries and generates all the MIS reports. This software is sucessfully Implemented in all branches of DC Office Sri Muktsar Sahib.

District Information System for Elections (NIC-PBSC-DISE)

All the technical work like Data compilation , Data entry , authenticity of data, Polling Duties of the staff, Various Reports(like individual order, Party list, Department list, order for reserved staff, consolidated party order), Affidavits’ scanning, Randomization of polling staff, Randomization of the EVM machines, Result etc for various elections of Vidhan Sabha, Lok Sabha, Panchayat, Zila Parishad etc is done with the assistance of NIC for several years. NIC’s DISE (District Information System for Elections)approved by the Election Commission of India, is used for elections.

Web-Suwidha

SUWIDHA (Single User-friendly WIndows Disposal Helpline for Applicants) centre has been set up in the district under Sukhmani Society for convenience of Citizen. This centre is operational w.e.f. April, 2004. Implemented services of Affidavit attestation, Counter Signing of documents, Copies of record, Arm Licenses and Passport Application Acceptance System. Weekly Passport data is being transferred to Regional Passport Office, Amritsar.

PRISM (Property Registration Information System Monitoring)

This project is to computerize the Sub Registrar Office of the District. The project has been implemented in all 3 tehsils and 3 sub tehsils of the district. On the spot, snaps of the purchaser,buyer and witness are taken and deed done on the computer.

Revenue Recovery

Different kinds of Revenue Recovery Statements like Abiana, Land Rev., Local Rate, Taccavi Loans, Stamp Duties etc. are being generated through IWDMS every month.

eOffice

The eOffice product aims to support governance by ushering in more effective and transparent inter and intra-government processes. The vision of e-Office is to achieve a simplified, responsive, effective and transparent working of all government offices. The Open Architecture on which eOffice has been built, makes it a reusable framework and a standard reusable product amenable to replication across the governments, at the central, state and district levels. The product brings together the independent functions and systems under a single framework. Presently eOffice is being implemented in all the districts of Punjab simultaneously.

VAHAN and SARATHI

NIC has developed these two softwares SARTHI and VAHAN at National level for the Computerization of the Driving Licenses and Registration of the Vechiles. SARTHI and VAHAN Softwares successfully implemented for Regional Transport Authority (RTA)

eHRMS

eHRMS is an Integrated Human Resource Management System. NIC imparted training to more than 250 employees of different deprtments and technical support provided from time to time for the successful implementation of eHRMS.
eHRMS successfully implemented for the Office of Deputy Commissioner office Muktsar, Commissioner Police Muktsar, Education department Muktsar, Homeguard Muktsar, Public Works Department Muktsar , Food and Civil Supply Muktsar, Social Security Office Muktsar and various Other departments under district Muktsar.

Video Conference

Video Conferencing Facility started in the NIC District Centre in January 2005. This brings the decision makers and action takers together, face to face, wherever they are across the country and around the Globe. Experts from remote locations can interact with each other in real time interactive mode. By providing strong channels of visual, graphical and multimedia communication, video-conferencing opens new vistas of functioning of government and service delivery mechanism is enabled for various sectors of Indian economy.

NIC is also conducting the video conferencing sessions related with the RTI cases of CIC(Central Information commission ) and SICP (State Information Commission of Punjab).
